O Poder dos Auditores

(…) Fights with accountants are fascinating, partly because the confidentiality surrounding their work with clients means the squabbles rarely become public.
That there was a fight this time cannot be in doubt. BCE said it " disagreed " with KPMG's conclusions and you can be sure of much to-ing and fro-ing before this ever became public. It seems a safe bet, too, that the disagreements were far less courteous than a dry press release would suggest.

Does this latest case tell us something about a new toughness among auditors? (…)
